“I will love you no matter how many mistakes I make when trying to reduce fractions, and no matter how difficult it is to memorize the periodic table. I will love you as the manatee loves the head of lettuce and as the dark spot loves the leopard, as the leech loves the ankle of the wader and as a corpse loves the beak of the vulture. I will love you as the iceberg loves the ship, and the...

Two miles
I walked it today at the gym. It felt so good to put on my gym clothes and head over after work and break a tiny sweat. I know I can’t run yet, but the brisk walk at a slight incline for 2 miles felt incredible albeit a tiny woozy at times but I was okay for the most part.
Maybe after a few more of these longer walks I can slowly start up my normal routine again.

Don't Drink and Drive this Weekend
The AAA Tipsy Tow info is being passed around but it’s not available in all states/regions so please check the AAA website to see if your area is included.
There is also a Sober Ride program through AAA in many areas of the country so check that out as well. Many of them have someone drive your car back to your home with their Sober Ride partner following behind to take them to the next...

2011 Year in Review
I guess since everyone else is doing it… I’ll hop on the “year in review” bandwagon and fondly gaze back at the past year and all it’s happenings.
New years eve morning kicked-off with me being the luckiest/happiest girl in the history of lucky/happy girls. We rang in 2011 celebrating with good friends and… well… taking really good care of the ones we love haha.
2011 was filled with so many...
Facebook is good for:
When you have a vasovagal attack and don’t know what to do to prevent it or even learn much about it… but out of the blue an old high school friend messages you and she’s the assistant to one of the best Electrophysiologists this side of the country focusing on Syncope and Pre-Syncope and knows all about vasovagal…
And then she explains everything I might have felt...
Good News, everyone!
The doctor’s office called today. My heart is fine! So it looks like the whole passing out incident was just from a vasovagal attack. They said because I’m such a physically active person with working out all the time, i have naturally low blood pressure and a naturally slower heart beat
Let’s just hope it doesn’t happen again, but I’m relieved to know that nothing...
Baby's first big walk
I went for a decent walk today from the Hoboken path station up to Maxwells on 11th and back down to my apartment downtown. Valcakes was with me to make sure I was doing okay and not feeling too woozy. I felt a little woozy at times but it wasn’t anything too insane!
Tomorrow morning I’m going to attempt walking about a mile or so, maybe up an incline a bit, at the gym. I figured if...

Because it’s just me and Mary here today… and we’re harmonizing… and we’re kind of awesome.

My Sisters Garage →
My cousins run a vintage store out of their old home, all the original woodwork is there and the items they sell are absolutely stunning. My cousin Renee runs it (it’s the house she was raised in) and her daughters help out.

I Think You're Fat: An article on the Radical... →
This totally explains my personality. I’m radically honest… there’s a very thin filter, if even a filter, between my brain and mouth and because of this, I have established absolutely incredible authentic relationships… and I can sometimes come off at a bitch who doesn’t care haha. Oh well. At least I’m honest.

– Franz Kafka (via blua)
I read beautiful things like this but then I remember that Kafka also wrote “In The Penal Colony” haha… incredible.

I have an ear infection. Because I'm 2 years old.
It’s either from:
A) Dirt that got into my ear when I passed out
B) Blood that got into my ear when I passed out
C) Water that got into my ear from having to shower funny to keep the tape dry on my broken nose
D) All of the above

I still can’t believe I own one. I have the most thoughtful and generous boyfriend. And my parents gifted me with a nice canvas cover, the ice cream maker and the box of extra attachments for it: slicer/shredder, meat grinder, juicer. Just need the pasta maker.

Thoughts while wearing the 24-hour heart monitor
I wonder if it shows up on the monitor every time I burp, because I burp a lot.
What if I poop? Do I have to write that in my little diary to hand into them so they don’t question an awkward heart rate?
Or sneezing
I get excited when it’s time to eat, maybe I should have explained that better
It’s going to feel like band-aids from hell when they peel these stickies off

diractev:
I wish people would stop trying to sound smart or cool or badass or anything else, especially online. You are what you are and chances are people will accept you for whatever that is. Chances are they’re too wrapped up in their own bullshit to care at all anyway.
Think about your favorite people people in the world. The traits they embody which you enjoy or maybe admire, I bet...
Since I'm not supposed to be lifting heavy things
I’d like to take this moment to thank the gentleman who helped carry my nana-cart all the way down the stairs at the Hoboken PATH, and then waited for me to swipe to carry the cart down the second set of stairs to catch the train on time.
And a sincere thanks to the two women, over 45, who lifted my cart over the turnstile and up 3 flights of stairs. That was epic and I wish I had cookies...
