This diner was minutes away from my college and every once in awhile I miss it terribly. I long for the 3am study-break trips for pancakes and playing “touch the jelly.” It’s when you open a jelly packet, pour a layer of sugar on top, spread it out and then… go ahead… poke it. Touch the jelly. It feels so cool.
However, right now, I’ve got a hankering for one of my favorite things on that menu. The Monte Cristo Sandwich. Mmm. I want that and a tub of maple syrup to pour on top.
